All Athena cylinders are developed and manufactured entirely in Italy. The latest generation of cylinders are coated with Motor-Nicksil, a nickel-silicon coating developed by Athena, which ensures smoothness and optimum wear resistance.
The standard bore cylinder kit developed by Athena guarantees the same performance as the original spare parts, extreme reliability and optimum smoothness thanks to the lightweight aluminum cylinder, the barrel with nickel-silicon coating and a piston designed to further reduce friction. The kit includes the high-quality aluminum cylinder with standard bore, the complete piston with piston pin and rings as well as all necessary seals.
All components of the kit have been developed to withstand the highest temperatures, pressures and loads and have been validated by Athena technicians in rigorous bench and road tests.
This cylinder kit can be installed without any modifications to the engine crankcase.
