REAR BRAKE ARM -BGM ORIGINAL- LONG VERSION
MAXIMUM BRAKING POWER FOR VESPA LARGEFRAME/WIDEFRAMEThe so-called brake arm sits on the brake cam. It converts the straight pull movement of the brake cable into a rotary movement.
With this the brake cam is turned which pushes the brake pads apart.
The length of the brake arm determines the lever ratio and thus how much force can be applied to the brake pads.
Piaggio has equipped the 200cc models (PX and Rally) with a longer rear brake arm. This improves the lever ratio, in favor of greater braking power.
It can also be replaced 1:1 on the Vespa Wideframe/Large models with 80-150cc and improves the braking power noticeably.
Piaggio has discontinued this type brake arm. With the BGM ORIGINAL there is a high quality adequate replacement and that `made in germany`!
To round off the whole, the brake arm is now also available in black.
TIP:
With powerful conversions on a tire size of 8 inches, the better braking performance is particularly pleasant to notice.
